Our fully-licensed restaurant is open during the summer-season. The natural environment and the spectacular view gives nothing more to wish for!

The train journey from Stockholm to Kallhäll takes 19 minutes, and it takes 10 minutes to walk from the station to our hostel. We are around 20 kilometres by car (E18) from Stockholm city centre.

In the late Middle Ages, the Archbishop owned a croft in Kallhäll. In 1539 the name – spelt Kalhelle(= bare slab) – was first mentioned. In 1909, Bolinders workshops moved some of their manufacturing activities from Klara strand in the centre of Stockholm, and the Kallhäll we now know began to emerge – near Lake Mälaren and the railway line. The protect ed brick buildings near Kallhällsbaden remind us of the prominent role played by Bolinders in Kallhäll.

In the 1960’s, Kallhäll grew – providing homes for many in the expanding Stockholm region.
